Delightful, a surprisingly good find... after my son's appt at the Morgan Stanley Children Hospital... we grabbed dinner here. Although it looked really dark.. and a bit sketchy... once you're seated, not bad. The bathroom is clean. Service is nice & friendly. They seem to have lots of regulars that come for drinks at the bar. As for their food, again, surprisingly good... guess we had no expectations and were just looking for a quick meal before heading back home. We got a shrimp fried rice, a crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli and a chicken pad see ew. Crispy Pork Belly was amazing! Crispy skin! The fried rice has strong "wok hay"! Everything was flavorful, portions were big and my son loved his fried rice. We did get Satay Chicken as a starter - didn't love it (only miss!). Thai Ice Tea was on point. Would recommend if anyone's around the area... but for us, it's way far from Brooklyn. #brooklyneats #washingtonhts #somewherefar
Love, Love, Love. I go very often to have lunch with my colleagues. I have an hour lunch and I am always taken care of and served in a respectful timely fashion. Service is always smooth and my food is always on point. Big fan of the Grilled Pork Chops. The tea is also very good.
I was recommended this place by a fellow grad student in my lab. It's a small cozy restaurant and has friendly staff. They have a lunch special where you can get a spring roll or soup along with an entree. I chose to get a spring roll and chicken pad thai. The spring roll was lukewarm when it was brought to me, I wish it was piping hot from the fryer, but it was still good. To me, the pad thai looked browner in color than pad thai that I'm used to eating. I feel like the pad thai I've had before was less brown and more orange idk. Also I initially felt like the portion size was small, however I was sorely mistaken because I was FULL after finishing this. Very heavy, I was very happy and full from eating the small bowl of pad thai. Overall, solid lunch place near my workplace so I can't complain. I will definitely be back on those days when I'm too lazy to pack my own lunch!
Excellent food, passes the tests for what we had. Curry puffs are great, basil chicken is very flavorful. The Tom yum soup was again full of flavor. The crispy duck was in fact crispy with an interesting coconut soup to accompany it. The ambiance was fine for early Saturday afternoon and their service was very friendly. This restaurant has gained a couple of new regular visitors. Can't wait to try more stuff of their menu.
Delicious food! Great service! My highly sensitive wife found that one of the dishes was a little too spicy for her, and they immediately offered another option to go, free of charge. Will definitely come again soon!
We have been coming to rain over the span of about 6 months now and I must say it's a neighborhood gem. For one they have a killer happy hour, drinks are typically $6-$8 depending. I would recommend the rum punch or the mojito. The chicken dishes are delicious but the star of the show here is the duck. Get the crispy roasted duck which comes in a coconut pineapple curry tasting sauce. The wife always gets the bangcock fried chicken which comes with fried rice. She ordered the salmon mango once which she wasn't too fond of and since then she sticks with the Bangkok fried chicken lol. All in all you'll enjoy the spot which won't break the bank either.
